there is a crazy person on the loose.
ok so i would like to inform everyone who is reading this, that there is someone who is impersonating me on myspace pretending to be me and adding all my friends, but heres the thing i dont have a myspace. Im pretty sure i know who it is but there is nothing i can do about it. this really blows though becuase i deleted my myspace 2years ago, switched schools and now i am in brazil and people are still pulling this tom foolery on me. i mean really come on! its not cool, please stop and just leave me alone i mean seriously i am not even in the united states anymore and you are still going after me. darn you!
a moment on the lips a lifetime on the hips
ok so here i have a maid who cooks and cleans all day meaning i really don't have to do alot in the moving department, and let me just testify that this brasil food, although truley delicious is making me fat, im pretty sure i will be a bonified heffer when i return because i can not stop eating, and its not just your basic meals, its cakes and pies and wierd milky fruity things. to say it simple i have really let myself go. but at least i can communicate through the language of food!
darn you indie/bicurious kids!
time for another party, so last saturday was my friend ritas going away party for the united states. I was super stoked thinking it was going to be an innocent dancy brazilian party. oh man was i wrong, as soon i got there i realized it was an indie/emo/bisexual party/drinking party. Crap! anyway i kept my cool and started to dance some of the awkwardness away, but then the new foreign exchange kid from mexico who had just arrived the night before showed up. he couldnt even speak portuguese and as soon as he got in the party he started getting his game on with like 5 girls, and to sum it up im pretty sure he loves brasil now. anyway everyone started to get way drunk and then kissy kissying all over the place, so i quickly made a run for the bathroom to escape the craze! while standing in the bathroom i had this strange urge to put on my chapstick before getting to the buisness about 2 seconds later this girl busts open the door, and due to my russian yack reflexs i leaped behind the door, and she just let loose, she hurled everywhere including on me. i sprang for the door and ran out yelling. anyway the party was a bit nutts, but on the brightside, the only way to be truley indie here is if you speak english. uh yeah bonus!
ok this si the mexican kid showin off his goods

yeah just look where he is looking, ah priceless
ah that is the sweet smell of success
so to avoid another hurl on the face me and the bro went outside for a simple photoshoot!

first day of school! reppin
ok so monday of last week was my first day of school, and school here only goes from 7 to 12, which is good but it certainly doesn't seem shorter. anyway i only feel asleep once, but unfortunatly i couldnt understand anything so i just studied up on my portguese slang. the wierd thing though, was i thought people would be a little excited for a new kid, they were not. Note to self making friends in a foreign counrty is almost as impossible as it is in the United states. duh! i should have known that. people here just look at me when i am trying to talk and then laugh when i mid sentence, "hello i am foreign not brain dead!" anywho i found some sweet skate or die buddies, who put my board together, and it is fun to talk scars and falling with them. but its all cool because i still got 3 more months to get my groove on. so look out!

daniel and natalias goodbye partea!
my first saturday here, and i was invited to a going away party for my brother daniel, who is headin to europe and natalia, is lifetime friend who is also going to europe. the party was a hoot and a half, and in this sleek zillion dollar house/hangout place.
to start i was individually introduced to everyone of his friends, a little awkward, but fun. then as i wondered around i came across this girl who i met 2 days back, named rita. she introduced me to her friend and the rest was chemstry, of friendship i mean, we giggled and wondered around for a bit talking about music. But onward, the next stage of the night was dancing, and yes i did shake what my mother gave me. and quite well if i may say so myself. as the night carried all the kids were getting completely sauced.(with all the alcohol bought by the parents) and this one girl kept telling me she loved my in english, she passed out abouta n hour later. then i met a genius kid who is going to M.I.T. that was educating, but while i was talking to the child prodigy this other kid came over that was really drunk but started talking to me in austrailian english. it was priceless. he was so interesting, the whole night he was talking about all the serious and gnitty gritty buisness of life, and death and everything else. it was actually one of the best conversations i have had, even if he wouldnt even remeber it the next day, anyway the wierd part was he was tall, had black curly hair and a nice snouze, like and old friend of mine, freaky deaky friday! and who knew that a common effect of drinking is brazil is talking in english, total bonus for me! any the part was sweet, and the whole time my brother was giving all the boys that talked to me the, "hey thats my sister face" it was hilarious.

this is rita and i hanging, not to worry i was the only one not drinkin at the party, that is a camera case in my hand.
classic brazillian grub
the kid on the left was the really cool guy i was talkin with all night hector, and the other one is my brother, hector took the gold in this situation. metaphorically of course

trip to asul
so my family went on a 3 day trip to asul the first week i got here, a town where almost everyone lives in poverty. So our job was to help them out. it was sweet. my parents were doctors so they did all the dirty work and i worked with the kids and in the dental section, teaching the kids how to man a toothbrush and toothpaste. the people were the coolest, and they had this clown guy for the kitties, who although very sweaty and a bit hairy was a way funny guy. unfortunatly my portugese was terrible so commmunicated through smiles, there was this one lady who had heard about me, so when she met me, she gave me the sweetest embrace of my life, then through out three days just kept saying "aih marina que bonita" and then kissing me. she was the greatest. anyway here are some photos.

here are some photos of the goods in Asul that i snapped.

ok so as we were walking to find a place to eat, there was this little guy with a white sheet on with this kick butt look on his face, in the simplest terms brasilian superman to be.
